ACL Rule
Changes Survey

The ACL published its rule changes to the Older Americans Act and Adult Protective Services Program earlier this year.  Liberators for Justice has received links to ACLs responses to public comments, below.  L4J seeks to collect responses to ACLs final rules from the disability community, in particular with regards to concerns over abuse of guardianship and protections against conflicts of interest.  Has ACL adequately addressed these concerns?  Please provide input on ACL’s two publications of comment responses below.  All input will be compiled and published on this website.  Deadline is August 30, 2024. The two Federal Regulation publications are:

1) Final Rule for the Older Americans Act, released February 14, 2024.  A link to the full publication is here: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2024-02-14/pdf/2024-01913.pdf

2) Final Rule for the Adult Protective Services Program, released May 8, 2024. A link to the full publication is here: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2024-05-08/pdf/2024-07654.pdf
